Zebra Wood Wrapped in Black Walnut Cross

This beautiful cross is made from Zebra Wood wrapped in Black Walnut. If you look closely at the Zebra wood in this cross you will find the stripes in the wood that perfectly accents the Black Walnut that is used to wrap it.

Zebra Wood:

Common Name: Allen ele, Zebrano, and Zingana

Botanical Classification: Microberlinia brazzavillensis

 

Tree is Native To: West Africa, especially Cameroon and Gabon
Black Walnut:

Botanical Classification: Juglans nigra

 
Tree is Native To: Black Walnut grows from Massachusetts to Southern Ontario and Nebraska, throughout the eastern half of the United States.
